Company Description:

We are currently working with a $1B global organization that is anticipating double digit growth over the next few years. This organization, which has been around for 60+ years, is the largest of their kind around the globe and growing rapidly here in the states. They dominate each of their categories, and are in the process of building a new plant in the southwest to keep up with demand.

As a result of this growth, they are looking for a Director of Demand Planning that will have responsibility for demand planning as well as drive the end-to-end S&OP process.

Position Description:

  • Director of Demand Planning reporting to the VP of Marketing;
  • Implement and manage a best-in-class demand planning process for North America;
  • Manage a team responsible to maintain a rolling forecast;
  • Protect the financial performance of the strategic business unit by identifying potential supply chain issues;
  • Implement and facilitate the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process;
  • Participate in the financial budgeting process;
  • Advise sales and marketing of variances between existing forecasts, plans and actuals.

Background Required:

  • Highly energetic individual with at least 7 years finished goods forecasting / demand planning experience with at least 3 years of management experience;
  • Experience with Consumer Goods industries;
  • Effective use of Tier-1 forecasting applications (i.e. SAP APO, JDA, Manugistics, Demantra, i2, Logility, etc.) and MS Excel;
  • Bachelor's required;
  • Proven track record of success in similar role.
